Scholarships

Scholarships available through Butler PPD

  • Butler PPD offers a scholarship to a student planning to enter into the utility line program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE, Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE, Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE or Western Nebraska Community College in Alliance, NE. Applicants must reside within the Butler PPD service area, be a dependent of a customer in the District, or live in one of the following villages: Abie, Bellwood, Brainard, Bruno, David City, Dwight, Garrison, Linwood, Loma, Malmo, Octavia, Prague, Rising City, Surprise, Touhy, Ulysses, Valparaiso or Weston.
    • Applications are due January 15th
    • Application can be found here when the scholarship is open.
  • Alltricity Scholarship Foundation (formerly RMEL) offers scholarships to deserving and qualified students in engineering, business, information systems, plant, line or distribution technology, line worker or other curriculum related to the electric energy industry.  These scholarships are awarded in amounts ranging from $1,500-$3,000+.  Deadline is January 30th.
